Untold Stories From a Foreign Correspondent
On a November night in 2020, Eric Willemsen gets caught up in a terror attack in Vienna, the city he has been calling his hometown since 2005. Once he has safely escaped the scene, he turns from witness into reporter and works non-stop over the next 24 hours for TV and radio stations across the world.
The night he became part of the news is one of the stories Eric shares in "LIVE FROM VIENNA", a collection of 17 short stories with personal memories from 20 years as a news correspondent and sports writer in Austria.
Other stories include the fall of the Sebastian Kurz government, an interview by Nigel Farage, Karl Nehammer meeting Vladimir Putin, a quirky question asked on Dutch radio, Formula One's return to Austria, and catching up with ski stars Mikaela Shiffrin, Lindsey Vonn, and Marcel Hirscher.
